The hub bearings of trucks need regular maintenance. If they are not maintained, problems may easily occur, which may cause wear on the bearings and accidents during driving. Therefore, it is very important to maintain the hub bearings. The selection of grease is particularly important. Today, I will share with you the secrets of hub bearing maintenance. The choice of grease is very important.
Wheel bearing maintenance inspection
1. When checking the progress of the hub bearing, first of all, the axle of the end of the hub to be inspected should be erected, and the car should be safely framed with tools such as a car stool and a car cover.
2. Turn the wheel under test several times by hand to see if the rotation is stable and there is abnormal noise. If the rotation is not stable and there is a friction sound, it means that the braking part is abnormal; if there is no noise, the rotation is not stable and it is loose when tightened, which means that the bearing part is abnormal.
The wheel should be dismantled and inspected when the above abnormal phenomenon occurs. For small cars, check the wheel bearing without disassembling, as long as you hold the tire with both hands and repeatedly pull the tire back and forth multiple times, if the wheel bearing is normal, there should be no feeling of looseness and block; if the wheel bearing swings obviously loose If the feeling is unreasonable, the wheel should be disassembled and inspected.
3. Check whether the hub brake is normal. When checking the hub bearing, you can check whether the lower brake is in normal use
If oil stains appear on the inside of the tire during the inspection, it is likely that there is a problem with the brake hose or the cylinder, and there is a problem with oil leakage. At this time, you need to carefully identify the cause and eliminate the problem.
